About Us

Our Heritage

My Great Aunt, Ann Brinkley, was an expert horsewoman back in the 1970s. She kept around fourteen horses on our property and dreamed of opening her own English riding academy one day. She had already chosen a name for it: Invicta.

I never had the chance to meet her, she passed away before my time, tragically taken in a car accident caused by a drunk driver who was never held accountable. But growing up, I heard stories about her from my family. She was determined, capable, and loved her animals deeply. Even though I didn’t know her personally, her passion and strength still found their way down through the years.

The word Invicta, means unconquered in Latin. It’s also part of my family’s heritage my mother’s side comes from Kent, England, where the Invicta Flag proudly bears a white horse on a red background, symbolizing endurance and resilience. That symbolism, paired with my Aunt Ann’s unfulfilled dream, inspired me to bring her vision back to life in my own way, through the farm I’ve built from the ground up.

Another figure who shaped the kind of person I wanted to be was Clarence “Chubby” Jeffords, our old neighbor in Florence County. Chubby was a humble, hardworking man known by everyone for his kindness and grit. He was a farmer, a National Guard veteran, a Mason, and the kind of man who worked his fields with a hand plow and his donkey, Rusty, from sunup to sundown. He was always lending a hand, sharing what he had, and living simply but meaningfully. When he passed in 2017 at age 86, he was still doing what he loved most, farming.

When I think of this farm, I think of people like my Great Aunt Ann and Chubby those who lived with purpose, strength, and care. Even without knowing one of them personally, their stories built a foundation I try to live up to every day.

This farm carries that same spirit. honest work, integrity, and heart. Every bird I raise and every project I take on is a small tribute to those who came before me...

So when you see the name Invicta Farms, know it’s more than just a name, it’s a legacy kept alive through hard work and love for the land and its creatures.
